The trail is completely flat, and suitable for strollers, great news for families with young kids! It is also suitable for wheelchairs.
The loop track begins from the main township, but will instantly transport you into another world. As you wander through the rainforest, you’ll discover many different types of trees, ferns, and mosses alongside a small stream. Around every corner, it looks like a scene straight out of a fairytale!
While the Minnehaha walk is stunning by day, at night is when things really get magical! After dark, stunning glow worm grottos become visible in the thick rainforest alongside the track. These strange creatures glow to attract tiny insects, catching them on suspended silken threads like a spider web. Make sure to take a torch with you, but don’t shine it on the glow worms or they will dim their lights.
Remember to keep children close, especially where the track runs beside the stream.
